August mood board / ad

August was shit.

It was filled with panic attacks and mental breakdowns. I am at a point in life where I don't know what tomorrow brings or how I will feel within a week. And knowing that I feel even shittier about myself and my life. But I gotta continue, don't I?

I've had my blog for around two years now. It didn't really took off the way I wanted it to. Mainly because blogging isn't my first job and I have a personal life as well. I constantly feel like that if I posted more face tuned selfies on Instagram and owned a Chanel bag things would be different. But that's just not who I am and I am very positive that I will never ever be that person. Mainly because I don't do real leather anymore and also because I don't have 4,000 € to spend on a bag ...

I also started a new job.
That's all. Not gonna say any more.

With August being over I day dream about autumn fashion everyday. The thing I look most forward to is wearing velvet again. It's a fabric I love dearly but I can only wear during the colder months. It's a tragedy only Shakespeare could write.
To share my love and give some inspiration here go some velvet pieces that I wanna invest in very badly but don't have the money to do so. I will try my best to find similar styles and be happy with those.

"Is it possible to have a mid life crisis at 21?"

All this chaos somehow made me be more active on my blog though. I have like five new posts prepared to post soon. It's not just outfit posts it's also some new experimental stuff that I've been urging to put out there.

In July I watched the documentary "The True Cost" on Netflix. Basically I haven't bought anything new since the closing credits ended. Even before seeing it I tried to cut my shopping habits but seeing the input the fashion industy has on the world and the workers ... it's something else. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't already.

Some songs that brought me through August ...
Train - Drops of Jupiter
Childish Gambino - This is America
Fort Minor - Where'd you Go (feat. Holly Brook and Jonah Matranga)
