The time has come. My first collaboration with a brand has begun.
And I can even present watches! I know watches are the standard blogger thing that every blogger advertises once in a lifetime. But I love watches. In my opinion, there is nothing more practical.
Watches bring a certain normality in a completely digitized world. Apple has launched its smartphone (which is somehow not a smartphone) for the wrist on the market and God and the world have followed. All the tech companies that fancy oneself, have given birth to digital watches which count our steps, our calorie consumption, notify us as soon as we get a WhatsApp (very important!) and feature other gimmicks nobody has asked for.
So for a change, it's nice to throw your square eyes at something round like an analogue watch. Sure, everything that indicates is the state of the time (and in the corresponding light you can see your reflection) but isn't that the purpose of a watch anyway?
Es ist so weit. Meine erste Zusammenarbeit mit einer Marke hat begonnen.
Und dann darf ich auch noch Uhren präsentieren! Ich weiß, Uhren sind das Standard Blogger Ding, dass jeder Blogger einmal im Leben bewirbt. Aber ich liebe Uhren. Meiner Meinung nach gibt es nicht Praktischeres.

Alle Elektrohersteller, die etwas auf sich halten, haben digitale Uhren geboren, die unsere Schritte zählen, unseren Kalorienverbrauch, uns sofort benachrichtigen, sobald wir eine WhatsApp bekommen haben (sehr wichtig!) und sonstige Gimmicks, nach denen keiner gefragt hat.
Dann ist es doch mal zur Abwechslung schön, seine viereckigen Augen auf etwas Rundes wie eine analoge Uhr zu werfen. Klar, alles, was die anzeigt, ist der Stand der Zeit (und bei entsprechendem Licht sieht man auch sein Spiegelbild) aber ist das nicht der Sinn und Zweck einer Uhr?
I bought my first watch at the beginning of my apprenticeship. At that time my choice fell on the brand "The Fifth Watch", which is based in Australia. On the one hand because I got influenced by Influencers and on the other hand by the exclusivity of the purchase. Because the watch would come out only on the 5th of the month (hence the name "The Fifth Watch", you get it?!).
I have to say that I got used to wearing a watch much faster than to the permanent accessibility. If my ticking buddy wouldn't be on the wrist, something was missing.
Well, my first watch is black and unfortunately with a leather strap. This has two disadvantages for me; 1. the leather. I no longer support the processing of leather in consumer goods. 2. Under the band it gets damn warm and damn wet during summer.
Of course I still wear the watch - I like it to this day! - but I wanted an alternative for the summer months. Then the company SAINT LONDON XVI contacted me through our very sweetest social media thang Instagram.

Aber wer ist Saint London eigentlich?
Die Marke „Saint London“ wurde, wie der Name schon sagt, in London gegründet. Ziel ist es, luxuriöse Uhren zu einem erschwinglichen Preis anzubieten. Inspiriert werden die Uhren durch die Stadt London selbst - klassisch, gegenwärtig, und unvergleichbare Qualität.

But now to the watch itself. I chose the model "Belgravia Gold". The watch is made of stainless steel. The dial measures 38 mm or 3.8 cm in diameter - a pleasant size. The dial stands out visually from the rest of the yellow-gold design due to the black. It also breaks the classic watch look which has a white dial.
I wore the watch for a week now and I have to say that it is very comfortable. It is not heavy, does not stick when sweaty, and still looks perfect. The watch looks good in the office or in my free time and I can easily combine it with all clothing styles - be it leather jacket or blazer.
Nun aber mal zu der Uhr selbst. Ich habe mir das Modell „Belgravia Gold“ ausgesucht. Gefertigt wurde die Uhr aus Edelstahl. Das Zifferblatt misst 38 mm oder 3,8 cm im Durchmesser - angenehme Größe also. Das Zifferblatt hebt sich durch das Schwarz optisch vom restlichen gelb-goldenen Design ab. Außerdem wird so der klassische Uhren Look mit weißem Zifferblatt gebrochen.
Ich hatte die Uhr eine Woche durchgehend an und muss sagen, sie ist sehr angenehm. Sie ist nicht sehr schwer, klebt nicht, wenn man schwitzt, und sieht immer noch einwandfrei aus. Die Uhr macht sich gut im Büro, also auch in meiner Freizeit und ich kann sie mühelos mit sämtlichen Kleidungsstilen kombinieren - sei es Lederjacke oder Blazer.
